During 2022, Jupiter is set to be the big hitter on the astrological scene. This optimistic giant remains in compassionate, spiritual Pisces until its arrival in Aries on May 10th. Along the way, a Jupiter-Uranus sextile on February 17th is a very good sign for populations still dealing with the fallout from Covid-19 – this is exciting, opportunistic energy with a huge emphasis on freedom.
A Chance To Tap Into Magical Manifestation Energies
In early March, a Capricorn stellium of Venus, Mars and Pluto focuses energy on shifting structures in society as we come to terms with necessary upheaval and the changes that the previous two years have wrought. It’s April 12th that is the standout time, however, as Jupiter forms rare conjunction with Neptune.
This conjunction itself happens every 12-13 years, but it has not occurred in spiritual Neptune since 1856. This is humankind’s chance to tap into extremely potent magical manifestation energies – inspiration abounds, and a planetary mind-shift starts to gather speed.
The Personal Struggles Against The Collective
A few weeks later on April 30th, the second of a series of Eclipses on the Taurus-Scorpio axis focuses on the struggle between personal control versus collective consciousness and individual gain versus shared resources.
Days later on May 3rd, Jupiter sextiles Pluto in a promising sign of financial recovery, before this generous giant shifts into Aries on May 10th.
Change Brings Angry Energy
While Jupiter transits Aries, we will see a much more individualistic and pioneering attitude prevailing. This is inspirational energy, yes, but it’s also angry. Change to the world during this period of 2022 will come through protest, perhaps violent at times, and through impulsive actions taken by individuals.
Where rage and impulse drive change, the results may not be quite what was originally desired; there could be militaristic overtones to any unrest in this period too. There’s very much an attitude of act first, worry about the consequences later.
Summer Could Be A Time Of Revenge
Jupiter turns retrograde in Aries on July 28th, but by then the potent Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio on May 16th has sown the seeds of potential angst, revenge and resentment.
A loose but intensely irritable T-square between Mercury, Mars and Neptune on October 5th hints that idealism will have lost ground over the Northern Hemisphere’s summer to those preferring swift action.
The End Of Year Will Bring Back Stability
A Solar Eclipse in Scorpio on October 25th brings matters to a head, although with Jupiter heading backward into selfless Pisces on October 28th, calmer heads may prevail.
By the time of the Lunar Eclipse in Taurus on November 8th, we may be regaining our collective sense of stability and sanity somewhat. Indeed, the very next day a fixed T-square between Mercury, Saturn and Uranus reflects a growing sense that the worst of the instability may be over.
This Time Next Year Will Allow Peaceful Energy
Jupiter turns direct in Pisces in late November. This final transit through Pisces during December will reignite some of the inspiration and collective humanity felt during April’s Jupiter-Neptune conjunction, allowing for a largely peaceful and gentle festive season.
However, with Jupiter re-entering Aries on December 20th, where it will stay until May 2023, the turn of the year could once again see anger-fueled unrest.
