If you can get through this phase, you can will find the power within you to get through anything.

Many of us go through life on autopilot. We wake up, go to work, come home, watch tv, sleep and do it all over again. When we take a moment to actually ask “what am I doing?” “why am I here?” or even “why am I doing it this way?” we start to take note of our patterns, including the habits that aren’t truly serving us.
The first step to “waking up” is being aware of what we’re doing in the present moment so that we can awaken the impulse to change it. You might realize you need to move or change jobs for example, and finally, have the courage to do it.

You may be feeling overwhelmed and confused, almost like everything you had taken for granted and assumed to be true in life was all lie.
A spiritual awakening can feel like you’re disconnected and detached from the things and people you used to love. It’s just making space for you to figure out if you actually do love them, or if they simply were comfortable.
Relying More On Empathy And Intuition

Up to this point, you may have been hearing what others were saying without really listening. There was too much noise to notice the feeling or intention behind their words or actions. A spiritual awakening allows you to tap into new levels of emotional intelligence.
You feel more in tune with your own emotions which in turn allows you to pick up on others. Empathy can be a superpower, that allows you to read others without them having to tell you.
Feeling Drawn To Nature

We feel so in awe of the beauty of nature. You easily get distracted when walking outside looking at the birds. In fact, you almost feel like nature is calling you to it.
You feel most at peace in the breeze of the trees because this allows you to look at the bigger picture. You’re finally starting to realize that the world is so much bigger than just you and me and that your every move has a butterfly effect on everyone around you.

You may have a negative connotation associated with the word “responsibility” so think of it more as feeling a sense of connection to your environment, on a spiritual and personal level. You can’t help but want to better your environment.
You may suddenly feel a calling to volunteering or donating more. Maybe you decided to change your diet to incorporate fewer animal products. This speaks differently to everyone but all lead back to a shift from a “me” mentality to a giving mentality.

Ask yourself if you’ve experienced a life crisis recently. A loss’s greatest gift is pushing you to such a low that you have to question your entire reality. When your whole world changes, you have no choice but to emerge from it as a new person.
Each life crisis, like a breakup or major life, change gives you a blank slate or opportunity to awaken and start over.

We all have attachments. It’s why we end up in co-dependent relationships or develop addictions. Attachments are also the ways that we define ourselves like through the car we drive, the clothes we wear, or the people we surround ourselves with.
Each attachment draws us a label. By letting go of attachments we start to get to the roots of who we really. It’s like looking in the mirror to see if we truly like ourselves.

Spiritual awakenings aren’t all bad. They just start hard to push you out of your box. As you awaken you start to notice the world around you and the universe nods back at you.
As your intuition grows, you pick up details you would’ve otherwise missed like the clock pointing to the number 3 every time you look at it, at the same as your neighbor calling you three times, and your friend mentioning that 3 is their lucky number. This is just an example of the kind of coincidences that start to point to your enlightenment.
