Technology can be very distracting when it comes to having a social life especially if you are prone to staying at home with all your electronics compared to going out to dinner with a group of family or friends.
Moderating your device time can show amazing results for your feelings of loneliness. You get more out of life if you are interacting with others on a personal level as well as being with them in person.
Think of your devices as just a piece of time out of your day and do not try to dedicate a majority of your time doing whatever on any kind of electronic device.
This may prove to be difficult sometimes but you will see that interacting with others in reality can prove to have some of the best benefits to your mental health.

If you are in a good spot to go out and meet someone that you have never met before, even if it's someone who you just want to be friends with, you will find that meeting others can bring a lot of self-satisfaction once you get to know them for who they are and especially if you both share similar interests in the world.
This kind of goes against the moderate device time, but downloading certain dating apps may actually help you come out of your shell to meet others and defeat this soul crushing feeling of loneliness.
Of course, this method may not be for everyone which is more than okay it is just merely a suggestion for you to meet others that may be interested in you.
5. Spend Time With Yourself
If you do not know what exactly motivates you into meeting others then you may have to spend some time getting to know who you are so that you can understand what makes you the happiest out of everything else.
When you are able to find the things that make you the happiest then you by the design of nature people who see you enjoying yourself will want to join you in whatever it is you are doing.
Happiness is a very contagious feeling that not all of us are able to obtain easily. So spend some time getting to know those certain things about yourself that maybe you've neglected for a long period of time until now.
