Telling a trusted friend a secret only to have them turn around and share that with someone else can be a heartbreaking experience. The seriousness of the secret can affect the severity of the breach, but it's still a dissolvent of trust either way, changing how you look at that friend you believed had your best interests at heart.

Given that every sign has its main pillar traits, common behaviors pop up under those traits, with some of those behaviors leading some signs to be a little looser with the boundaries of secret-keeping.
Astrologer Brandyn Lee spoke to Bustle about the three signs that are most likely to spill your secrets and why, sharing insights about the differences in motivations between them. Not all of them are malicious or done with the intent to harm, but that doesn't mean they're favorable either.
Gemini
Gemini's ruling planet is Mercury, which has dominion over the realm of communication, a dominion that Gemini has a lot of power thanks to Mercury's watch. They're often thought of as the most social of all the signs, greatly enjoying meeting new people and learning about all the inner workings of a particular friend circle.
That said, because they love to talk, learn, and grow closer to people to unravel most of their story, Geminis tend not to take much issue with sharing other peoples' secrets to get there.
The Flow Of Conversation
"Gemini's get so wrapped up in talking that sometimes secrets just naturally slip out before they even realize they’ve said anything," explained Lee.
He also warned that air signs are more likely to... embellish the truth a little bit, maybe exaggerating a detail or two to make the story more exciting or to better fit in with what they think a group will enjoy more. So, not only will your secrets maybe be shared, but they might be edited, starting a potentially dangerous game of telephone.
Scorpio
People are either incredibly surprised to see Scorpio on this list, or they aren't surprised in the slightest. Though Scorpios tend to get a bit of a bad rep in a lot of ways, here it may not be so unfounded, as they do have a tendency to go around sharing things that were told to them in confidence.
It's no mistake, either. Sometimes Scorpios will drop a juicy piece of knowledge just for a crowd reaction or to stir up drama.
Personal Motives
Lee says this is due to Scorpios being the "type to spill the tea and then act like they had nothing to do with it." They're also more than happy to be "manipulative to get a secret out of you," he warned.
"Be on their bad side and they'll lay all your cards out on the table and won’t even think twice about it! When it comes to their own secrets, they’re under lock and key. But someone else’s? Good luck!"
Sagittarius
For Sagittarius, their motives are far less purposeful or malicious. Lee says that those under this sign just get a little too excited about the new things they've learned, which leads to them jumping the gun on when to share the details.
"Sagittarius is the type to want to get you a surprise for your birthday and then ask you if you want to know what the surprise is beforehand. Not necessarily a bad thing, they're just super ecstatic to tell.”
Not Thinking It Through
Sometimes it's even entirely accidental, their mouths moving faster than their brains do when they get riled up about something.
"If your secret just so happens to be on the brain during their honesty moment, count on it being blurted out," he said.
Those born under Sagittarius remain trustworthy when it comes to other measures like promises, favors, and compassion, but you might want to keep your more serious secrets at a distance from them...just in case.
A Disclaimer
Now, should you go and automatically not trust someone because of their star sign alone? Of course not. Though our zodiac signs can tell much about us, not everyone subscribes to every commonly-known trait of the sign they're under. Life would be very boring if there were only 12 personality types.
