An IQ typically is used to gauge how intelligent we are, but there are many different types of intelligence. I’d say there’s emotional, social, and interpersonal intelligence as well.
Emotional intelligence was first popularized by Daniel Goleman and refers to a person’s ability to perceive the emotions and feelings of others, as well as handle and understand their own emotions. Some say it’s an inborn trait, others believe that your emotional intelligence can be strengthened over time with practice.
