Being in love is one of the best feelings there is. Your heart skips a beat when they walk in the room or even when you hear their name.

You get butterflies in your stomach just thinking about them.

And, you simply cannot….stop….thinking about them! This feeling is overwhelming in the best possible way. But, is it true love?

Read on for 5 signs that you are really in love.

1. The thought of being with them forever doesn’t totally freak you out

If the thought of spending every day of the rest of your life with someone doesn’t make you want to run away, you’re in love.

You want to share every experience, want to create a home with them, want to raise a family together.

You think that growing old with this person will be the best thing ever, and it probably will be!

2. There is nowhere you’d rather be than with them right now

You used to love your alone time. You used to love doing whatever you wanted to do whenever you wanted to do it. You used to absolutely LOVE your freedom!

Now, if someone offered you a ticket to Paris, you would say, “Oh, no thanks. I’ll just stay right here.” Yep, you’re in love.

3. You want to know every single tiniest thing about them

Their favorite brand of socks, their favorite afternoon snack, their feelings about Europe, their biggest fears, their favorite band in middle school, the most embarrassing thing they’ve ever done, stuff they find very, very inexplicably sad, their most cherished memory, who their ancestors are — the list goes on and on and on and on!

4. Everything, no matter how random, reminds you of them

A cloud in the sky shaped like a dragon because they said they love dragons, books you think they would probably love, the color orange because they love Halloween.

The connections are limitless and varied. You will find endless reasons to think of them all day long.

5. You are totally comfortable being yourself with them

You don’t care that they know you love wearing footie pajamas or still sleep with the teddy bear you’ve had since childhood.

Or that you like to disco dance to the Bee Gees when you’re cleaning. Or that you have to check to make sure the doors are locked at least 5 times before you can sleep at night.

You can get your weird on in front of them without any fear that they will think any less of you or run away. No matter how strange you, or they, are, you still love them and they love you. Congratulations! You’re in love.
