There are three major acupressure points on your ears that can help you manage stress and mental imbalances effectively. What are each of them?

1. Shen men.

The Chinese called this point the “heavenly gate” because it draws in divine energy, making it the most powerful of the acupressure points. It rests just underneath the helix at the top part of the ear. Gently massage it for several minutes throughout the day.

2. Sympathetic autonomic point.

Say that ten times fast. This point is located on the inner point of the helix. This point helps you calm your body’s fight or flight response. This calms us down and lets us think through the actions we take a little bit better. It helps make sure you’re not reacting out of fear, but rather thoughtfulness.

3. Point zero.

Point zero was discovered by Dr. Paul Nogier, a French neurologist, in 1957. He found that the ear perfectly mirrors an inverted fetus, and Point Zero is the exact center point of the ear. It aligns perfectly with the solar plexus chakra.

He discovered that, by massaging that point on your ears, your body comes back into perfect alignment. Your brains hormones are better regulated and some believe it activates your parasympathetic nervous system, which brings calming energy to the body.
