About 3 or 4 times a year, Mercury passes at its closest point to the Earth’s orbit. As it comes nearer to us, it slows down and appears to spin backward. It’s an illusion of course, but it is still referred to as Mercury in retrograde. Mercury being in retrograde usually causes things to go haywire astrologically for almost a month.
How do we avoid catastrophe while Mercury is in retrograde?
First, be observant for breakdowns in technology. This period of time is well known for delays in travel and stuff just kind of breaking. Plan for things to not work as well as they normally do.
Watch what you say too. This period of time is notorious for causing communication breakdowns. Be careful of what you say and how you say it. Take extra care with your words. Try not to be impatient. Choose words wisely. Watch what you say on Facebook too.
When Mercury is in retrograde, people you normally never hear from may reappear in your life. If they are people who’ve wronged you in the past, be careful. Don’t get too excited. Watch your back.
Stick with what works too. This isn’t a good time to negotiate a contract or take on a new job. When Mercury is in retrograde, you don’t make the best decisions possible. It’s not uncommon to end up with a bad new car or executing a contract that doesn’t work for you.
