In this video you can witness one of the greatest natural events on Earth! This epic annual migration of the monarch butterflies is beautiful.

Millions of these colorful insects travel over 3,000 miles to reach the southwest portion of Mexico. Once they arrive, the monarchs blanket the branches of the oyamel fir trees!

The number of butterflies is so great, they end up coloring the trees orange and bend the branches under their weight.

Between the months of November and March each year you can visit the colonies that are only accessible by a strenuous 3 hour hike into the remote mountains.

I would love to experience this wonder of nature!
