Manami Ito playing violin with her prosthetic arm is truly breathtaking
After watching this video, how could anyone say "I can't do it"
When most people aren't successful at something, they typically chose to blame "bad luck" for their misfortune. However, luck usually isn't responsible at all.
According to INC, here are some of the most common reasons for failure:
- The timing of wasn't correct
- Our suppliers failed to keep up with the demand
- Our bank pulled the plug on the business
- Our competitors undercut us
- The customer didn't understand our offering
- The demand for the product just dried up
- Product quality issues
- Wrong location
- Wrong business model
- Bad luck
If you look carefully, you'll notice that their is no usage of the words I, Me, or We. No one took responsibility for their failure, they chose to place blame somewhere else.
This doesn't just apply to financial success. It can be related to anything; relationships, sports, art... take your pick.
Manami Ito – Paralympic swimmer playing violin with her prosthetic arm
It was a traffic accident in November of 2004 that took Manami's right arm. She was studying to become a nurse and her accident forced her to give up on that dream.
However, she was able to go to a facility that helped her with an artificial arm. Since then, she has taken up swimming and returned to her studies again.
She is also the first nurse to have a prosthetic arm in Japan, and tours the country to share her violin performances.
In the video below, she plays Thread by Miyuki Nakajima.
Kazushige Masuda captured her performance on September 2, 2018 at the Takarazuka City General Welfare Center in Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan.
