This Artist Walks All Day In Siberia To Create Gigantic Snow Murals
Simon Beck, an artist based in Russia, bills himself the world's first famous "Snow Artist." He spends all day walking in the Siberian snow near Yakutsk, Siberia, to create these gigantic, intricate snow murals, like the dragon you see below. Each work takes 5-10 hours to create. His diligent footsteps create sensational patterns in the snow, featuring stunning geometric shapes that you can only truly enjoy at a distance. Beck began doing it as a form of exercise, first creating a gigantic pentacle in the snow using only a compass as guidance.
