These Haunting Images Show How Easily Television Hypnotizes Children
Televisions made their debut in the American home in the 1950s, and since then has become a near universal electronic device in the homes of developed world citizens. Today, it's clear for adults to see the blatant propaganda that comes with television. It comes in the form of news, political advertisements, and even commercials that want to sell you drugs.
Unfortunately, kids aren't always able to see through that. When kids are parked in front of a TV for hours, we're allowing programming to, well, program them in a sense. Much of it is likely benign, but once you see these images, taken by artist Donna Stevens in a series titled "Idiot Box," you'll be creeped out by how zombiesh these kids look. Television hypnotizes children extremely easily.
