The Fibonacci Sequence is the series of numbers: 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, etc. The next number in the sequence is found by adding up the two numbers before it.
The sequence is named after the Italian mathematician who rediscovered it. In his book, written in 1202, he introduced the sequence to western European mathematics. It was first found in Indian mathematics.
