5 Simple Yoga Poses That Soothe Sciatica Back Pain
Sciatic nerve pain, or sciatica, is a pain that radiates along the sciatic nerve. This nerve originates in the lower spine and runs all the way down the legs.
There are two of these nerves, one for each leg. It’s the longest nerve in the human body. If you’ve ever suffered sciatica, like I did for years, you know how debilitating it can be. The pain can appear anywhere in the lower back, buttock, thigh or calf. It can feel like electric, tingling, burning, or pinching pain.
The pain is caused for a number or reasons. Mine was Piriformis syndrome. These 5 yoga poses are perfect to relieve and eventually get rid of sciatica.
1. Cow Face Pose.
2. Half lord of the fishes pose.
3. Reclined twist.
4. Pigeon pose.
5. Lizard pose.
