Common Themes Experienced Between Lovers

We all have heard about this love thing whether it be from a Frank Sinatra song or from seeing it in the movies. A lover companionship seems to be ingrained in all of us at some level. We all have that hopeless romantic dwelling in our hearts.

Every now and then, when the stars align per say, we run into another being with those mesmerizing, mysterious qualities that makes our heart’s feel like they are exploding into pure light.

From then on, you two form a bond that is beyond anything you’ve felt before.

While everyone has a unique story of how they found their lover, there are common themes that every lover experiences with their beloved.

1. You find yourself daydreaming about them.

You’re at work and your co-worker is blabbing to you about the greatest thing that ever happened to them and you can’t help but be stuck in your fantasy world of taking magic carpet rides across the seven seas with your love.

2. It feels like there’s magic in the air.

Everywhere you go with your lover, there seems to be magic in the air. As if the universe is conspiring to unite you two so effortlessly. Live music seems to be waiting for you around every block.

You walk into the pet store to pick up a deer antler for your neighbor’s dog you’re pet sitting and it happens to be puppy day.

You go out to eat at a fancy restaurant and it happens to be a special of buy one meal get a second half off. Something out there wants this union between you two love birds.

3. They make you want to shout sometimes.

You’re the most laid back person on the planet. No one can disturb your vibes. Except for your lover. Something about their ways mysteriously disturbs your peace and makes you want to run outside and scream WHAT THE HECK?

They can annoy you like no other but at the end of the day you can’t help but laugh at the ridiculous confusion and cuddle the night away.

4. You’re comfortable being weird with them.

When you’re with your lover, you feel the freedom to truly be yourself in the strangest way possible. You can sing “staying alive” by the Bee Gees in a falsetto you never even knew you had.

You two end up having an entire conversation in chipmunk voices and by the end of it are engaged in animal behavior in the sheets. No matter what they do, you find a way to play along.

5. You challenge each other to break the routine.

Your partner challenges you to do new things. Spontaneous adventures that lead to new discoveries. You started off not being much of a hiker and after 5 months of dating, you are climbing fourteeners.

You never once would touch that smelly Indian food and now you make your very own special blend of curry.

6. You consider your partner in every decision.

Whenever anyone asks you to go hang out or about your plans for the weekend, you say I don’t know, I’ll have to get back at you once I check my calendar.

Meanwhile you know that calendar is really based off if you’re hanging out with your lover. No experience comes near any experience with them.

7. Time flies.

It’s 5 p.m. and you just got home from work to find your significant other sitting on your doorstep waiting for your arrival. One minute you’re cooking together and the next you’re in bed wrestling.

You check the clock again since you’ve got home and out of the blue it’s 5 a.m. and you have to be back at work in 4 hours. Where did the time go?

8. They really make you feel at home.

Something in the way they are makes you feel at home. It seems you can be anywhere in the world and have it feel like home when you’re in their presence. As the popular saying goes, home is where the heart is.
