The Mirror Effect Is Why Empaths Often Get Mistreated, Here’s How

We know that Empaths have a natural ability to pick up on other’s emotions and read their body language without them having to say a word. They also are almost cursed with an ability to completely embody the way that someone else feels, and put themselves in their shoes easily.

However, it doesn’t always stop there. Often, an empath will project those emotions and behavior right back to their owner. This is known as the mirror effect of an empath.

People Are Afraid To Confront Themselves

It is common for people to act authentically. We tend to hide our true selves behind screens. We mask our faces with fake smiles just to get by. Most of us don’t take the time to reflect to find our true selves but simply go with the motions. We’re living but we don’t feel alive.

For that reason, when an empath reflects this back to people it unintentionally forces them to face the reality of their personality, choices, and lifestyle, which is much harder than avoiding it.

They Think The Empath Is Self-Righteous

When someone is forced to face themselves before they’re ready, they’ll usually lash out. They’ll blame their problems and emotions on anyone but themselves because they refuse to take accountability. They’ll blame the empath for acting as their mirror and tell them that they they’re falsely righteous.

They’ll want to prove the empath wrong by pointing out all their flaws instead. It’s unfortunate but this is the first step to their path to acceptance.

The Empath’s High Vibrations Don’t Mesh With Low Ones

An Empath doesn’t need to be around people who are surrounded by negative energy for a few reasons. First off those with enough negativity in their energy field can’t stand to be around those who vibrate clean energy. They would rather be someone who can be miserable with them to justify their actions.

Also, because of the empath’s ability to take on someone else’s energy, they’re putting themselves at risk of lowering their own frequency because it’s being brought down by their empathy for someone else. Basically, the energies just don’t mix well.

Become A Conscious Empath

There are two types of empaths out there. Unconscious ones who have yet to master their capability and keep it under control. An unconscious empath becomes like a sponge, soaking up the emotions of everyone around them until they burn out and run out of energy themselves. They are often anxious and overwhelmed.

Then there are conscious empaths who understand that they can choose which energies to allow into their field. The mirror of a conscious empath is much more focused and coherent. Their aura is much calmer. When a person mistreats them, it’s usually because they have reflected back their deepest unaddressed wounds.
