Les Brown is a well-known and highly-regarded author, radio DJ, former TV host, former politician, and excellent motivational speaker. His catch phrase: “it’s possible!” He tries to teach people to follow their dreams as he himself learned to do. It’s not always easy but it’s, well, you know, possible!
Brown came from humble beginnings. He was born in an abandoned building in a low-income section of Miami, Florida. He and his twin brother, Wesley, were given up for adoption. In grade school, he was declared “mentally retarded,” and unable to learn.
Aside from being a motivational speaker, he ran for and won a seat in the Ohio state legislature. After his time in the state house, he got into television and ended up on PBS. Les has been involved in a number of media programs from radio to television, but he’s best known for his incredible motivational talks. This is one of his best. Enjoy!
